My wife and I have owned 2 cats and 5 dogs over the last 25 years. We live all animals! Over the last 3 months we have had to say goodbye to our 2 dogs which both been with us for over 14 years. One of them lived with diabetes for the last 4 years requiring twice daily injections. We have since welcomed a lab/retriever puppy who is very friendly with people and other animals. We love going on long walks though the neighborhood, nearby ravines or off leash parks. I have a flexible schedule ( i work from home and my wife works p/t).
