As a child I grew up surrounded by all kinds of animals from chickens, to smaller mammals like rabbits and Guinea pigs and larger mammals like our family German shepherds. Through this experience I learned how to care for and train various pets. As an adult I continued to adopt my own pets and care for other people’s pets. I’ve owned reptiles and have done a fair amount of research on maintaining proper temperatures, humidity and nutrition to help them thrive. I’ve also taken a couple of dog behaviour courses so I am familiar with socializing and training puppies, managing reactive dogs, administering medication, and using positive reinforcement to train dogs and help them feel secure in various situations. I have cared for an elderly cat as well and am comfortable administering medication and feed specific diets to those who need it.
