My whole life, I have always taken care of fish and had a turtle, alongside other animals. For example, I used to have a bunny, a guinea pig, and have taken care of multiple hamsters in the span of 12 years. In addition, I also had parakeets. All of these animals were not all in my care at the same time, of course, haha. Unfortunately, I am currently living away from home due to university and cannot look after any pets in the dorm. When it comes to dogs, I have experience in walking, feeding, and some cleaning, as I volunteered at an animal shelter during my last 2 high school years. The animal shelter also had cats with which I had some interaction but, sadly, it was more limited. I have a close friend that has 2 cats and a bunny. I do spend a lot of time at my friend’s place and have helped her with her kittens. However, this does not mean that I have all the experience needed. I believe that there is much more to pet care that I need to know. As a result, I am motivated to learn more about pet care and their needs, in order to provide better care in the future. After all, they are like our family.
