Growing up in rural Wales I spent my childhood amongst animals from working collies to cattle and sheep. I have spent huge swathes of my time exploring new areas with a dog by my side. Since being in Canada I have volunteered at a dog kennels and stayed and worked for a number of families, all of which had dogs - from Terriers to Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Most importantly I believe giving animals respect is the most crucial part of any animals care. Even when it comes to wild predators, a little respect goes a long way.
