I currently work at reptile kingdom, a reptile store/zoo/rescue. In my spare time I run my own reptile rescue as well. I own my own large breed dogs (Great Dane and rottie mix), and have gone to post secondary school for animal care, specializing in exotic pets. During my time at school I not only learned about care for all types of animals, but I also learnt medical basics, emergency procedures, speciality care, grooming and more. I have also travelled to places such as Costa Rica and volunteered for many weeks at rescue centres, where I cared for all sorts of wildlife. Along with this, I’ve grown up working at barns, dog sitting, fostering cats (which we still do in a quarantine room), helping out at the ospca, and working various jobs with animals such as being a dog handler and working in pet stores.
