Alyssa is a Teacher Candidate at the University of Ontario's Institute of Technology's Faculty of Education. Alyssa is a passionate teacher who is eager to embark on her career as an educator. Alyssa believes in promoting positive environments through dedication and commitment to student learning. She portrays core values of trust, care and leadership. Alyssa promotes inquiry within her lessons and makes her students see learning as a new opportunity. She encourages her students to be proud of their accomplishments and successes. Alyssa has worked in various childcare settings such as working for Perry House Child Care Services as an Assistant in Whitby, where she went to personally as a child. She also has been a tutor for many years working with students from kindergarten thru grade 12.
