About Abby
29 years old
My name is Abby, and I am an animal welfare and behavioural scientist, located in Airdrie. I graduated with my BSc. in Animal Science in 2017 at Dalhousie University before moving to Ontario to complete my MSc. in Animal Behaviour and Welfare at the University of Guelph in 2019. I moved to Calgary in 2019 to pursue a MSc. in Veterinary Medical Sciences at the University of Calgary, with my primary focus on behaviour and welfare. I have recently finished school and would love to use my experience and passion to train and educate you and your furry friends.
I have years of experience with a variety of animals, including numerous dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes. I currently volunteer at AARCS, where I take in foster dogs and have worked with them on socialization, reactivity, and other behavioural issues.
My approach to training includes using proven science-based methods and using positive reinforcement and force-free techniques.
I am currently offering:
- dog walking
- home visits
- daycare
- overnight care
- dog & puppy training (can be combined with other services available):
• reactivity
• separation anxiety
