Hi there! My name is Taya, I am a 26-year-old Child Development Professional. I have been working in the Early Childhood industry since 2013 in a number of educational settings. In 2013, I traveled to Uganda to work with a Sponsorship Organization. When I returned in March, I began working in the field of Early Childhood Development and I haven’t looked back. I obtained my Child Development Assistant Certificate in 2013, and am currently a student working toward my Psychology Degree through Athabasca University and my Early Learning and Child Care Diploma through Red Deer College. I am passionate about professional development and I hold certificates in Brain Development, Classroom Environment, Executive Functions, Sensory Processing, and Dual Language Learning. I believe it is important to remain flexible to any situation, and let children take control of their learning! Children have a natural motivation to explore, create, and learn; I am lucky to play a role in that and to share my passion with others.
