I currently work at a Boys and Girls Club as an after school program leader, but I will be off for the school winter break! I Would love to find someone who needs child care during the break :) Hello! I’m Shauntia, I am a graduate from Acadia University, where I earned my degree in Sociology with a minor in psychology. My journey in childcare started early on, caring for the children of family and friends. This experience ignited my interest in early childhood education and led me to work as an ECE assistant during two summers in various daycare facilities. These hands-on roles were incredibly enriching, allowing me to implement educational activities and ensure a safe environment where children could thrive. A significant part of my professional growth has been working with neurodivergent and disabled children in daycare and volunteer settings. As I stated before I am currently an after school program leader for BGC! I help create and lead fun activities in science, gym, arts, music, and literacy that help kids learn and grow.As an ASP leader my goal is to help kids develop emotionally, socially, and physically while having fun.
