My experience comes from helping with the new additions to my family. I was able to take care of my cousins from the moment they came from the hospital to the very moment I left for university. When they were babies I did everything from preparing their bottles to changing and bathing them. I also dedicated a couple of hours every day or every other day doing exercises with them in order to help them crawl and walk. Once they were older I helped them with their homework, made sure they ate, took a shower and put them to bed. Between the recreational activities we did, we went to parks, painted, baked and had movie nights on weekends. I also became a volunteer of the Ecuadorian Red Cross, where I was trained for emergency situations and completed courses in first aid and CPR. I am young but responsible and obtained experience with childcare since I was 12. This experience has only grown with my involvement in their daily lives as they started growing up. I have knowledge in picky eaters, homework that looks too hard, runaways from the showers, kids that want to pull an all-nighter, last-minute school projects, and every other wonder that come with little kids.
