I have been working as a preschool teacher in Richmond for the past 2 years in a toddler program (12 month olds-3 years old). I have my early childhood education diploma, as well as my specialty certificate in infant and toddlers. I have recently left my job to continue on my teaching studies online to become an elementary school teacher, but I would love to still be able to work and spend time with children as I do this. I believe that building and fostering a relationship between the child and caregiver is extremely important. Without a trusting relationship it is impossible to learn; we must first develop a foundation in which we all can flourish. I believe that every moment should be lived to the fullest potential, because you never know what moments are going to stick with the children both subconsciously and consciously forever. I believe that children are the leaders of their interests and show us what they are truest interested in and want to learn.
