I chose to become an ECE and RC because taking care of and educating children has always been a passion of mine. I have 5+ years of experience working in various settings such as the Child Development Centre in Humber college, The Humber College Arboretum, The Humber College CICE program and 3 placements with the TDSB School board (Humberwood Downs, Melody Village and Albion Heights Junior Middle School. I graduated with honours from both the ECE program in 2020 and with the Inclusive Resource Program-Child and Family Practice 2021; In this program I learnt about how to support children, families and individuals with disabilities/various needs. I grew up caring for my little brother who was diagnosed with NF1 early on in his life. With both parents working full-time, I quickly learnt crucial traits such as communication skills, patience and awareness at a very young age. Along with my parents, I went to Sick Kids Hospital with my brother frequently, making it my dream to one day work there and provide the children with the same support both my brother and family received. I have a lot of experience with young children especially between the ages of 3 and 12. I’m looking for a job to earn extra income for rent and food.
