I've worked with my mother's friend in her home day care for two summers in a row. I had tasks such as helping make meals, feeding of younger children, nap time and helped prepare activities indoors and outdoors. I've done co-op work in elementary schools as a teacher's assistant grade 2 and grade 3/4/5, helping prepare worksheets, gym activities, one on one learning. I've also done co-op at a daycare paid by the town (ECE assistant ages 2-4) and helped with meal time, nap time, entertaining the kids and keeping them occupied while still learning and doing arts and crafts! I've always been passionate about chiildren. I've wanted to help them and help them reach the goal they are looking for. I know I might be young, but I have a passion for childcare. I'm hoping to go into child and youth worker or social worker within the next year or two.
