I have 6 brother and sisters, the oldest=9 years younger. 1 brother has congenital heart disease & I have cared for him from a young age overnight &he is now 16. I also have another younger sibling who has been diagnosed with autism &I care for him regularly &overnights at least once a month from he was born, now 9.Love kids &have many younger cousins & neighbours who I also babysit for when parents are out of town. I'm a qualified social worker. 2yrs experience working in children's home caring for needs of 10-18yr olds on daily basis. Cook, clean, tidy up&help with homework &manage their care plans, take them to visit their families&therapy ect. I'm a people person, have great communication skills, taking time to play games, using car/travel journeys to chat with the kids about any issues or problems they may have. Doing an activity is easier to get them to open up. I enjoy forming bonds with the kids this way as they are able to relate more to me and realise that I am there to help and support them and it helps me gain their trust as this is very important when taking care of anyone.
