This is an old profile, and I am currently in the process of updating it. After the YCMA, I started working as a PSW and have 3 years of experience. I am now looking to find a position with children or seniors. I have been employed by the YMCA and as an Educational Assistant from February 2012 until January 2014. I have worked at several schools in the Owen Sound area but primarily in an elementary school. In this position, I would attend to school-aged children in the before and after school program. I was responsible to prepare healthy snacks. I coordinated gym and outside activities to keep the children active. I would care for a group of children that could range in numbers between 10 to 15, and ages SK to Grade 6. I also helped plan full-day activities on PD Days where the program ran for children for a full day. We would visit local parks and other venues like pumpkin patches depending on the time of the year and season.
