I have 6 years of experience working with children professionally (and many more years personally) and will live in Kingston, ON from September 1st. I am currently pursuing a Masters of Social Work (distance education). I'll be available for most mornings, evenings and weekends with a more specific schedule up for negotiation. I lived in England for 8 months as a live-in nanny (au pair), so I am very comfortable with providing support in all children's daily needs including meal times, bathing, school pick-up/drop off, and all physical/emotional needs. I have also worked for the past 3.5 years as a Family Support Worker doing respite care for Indigenous children and youth. In this role I provide in-home care for children from 9 months to 18 years old for anywhere from a few hours at a time, to 4 full days. I also worked for 3.5 years in Long Term Care as a Care Support Worker with people with cognitive differences.
