I have always been a natural caregiver. From the time I was of age, I began babysitting and had regular families that I would see as often as once a week. In the summers I would also volunteer at day cares, as well as provide child care for a few weeks. Throughout high school and university, I volunteered with children and young adults with special needs. These experiences have allowed me to understand the importance of a stable home and care for growing minds. I believe that children are the future, and therefore we must nurture them and treat them with respect. The goals I have as a caregiver are to teach them how to be independent, express emotions in a productive and healthy way, and to learn about ways in which they can respect others around us and nature as well. Having graduated from university and extensive experience in office work and customer service I have learned how to be efficient with my time, as well as extremely organized. I am open to learning new things as I believe we are always growing and changing and I look forward to seeing what different children and families have to teach me.
