As an older sister with 3 younger siblings I started taking care of children even at a younger age. I got them to and from school and babysat after school while our parents were at work. Once I was older I started babysitting for my parents friends and other local children in my neighbourhood. I have experience working in a home daycare setting as well are a pre-k setting. After high school I completed a year of child and youth work at Fanshawe. I learned about developmental stages as well as properly planning age appropriate activities for groups of children at various ages and stages. While babysitting and working in these environments I’ve performed a variety of tasks such as preparing meals, engaging in activities, household chores, as well as bedtime routines.
