I am a 21 year old student about to enter into my final year of school at MacEwan University, with the aspiration to become a French/English/music teacher. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and I have been babysitting since the age of 10 for my younger siblings, and out-of-house for other families since 12 y.o. I have experience with ages 4mos to 12 years. I have worked closely with a family for 8 years, starting as an occasional babysitter, and progressed to a permanent nannying position when I started University. This family had three energetic and loving boys, who were 1,3 and 5 when I started babysitting them. In addition, I have had the pleasure to volunteer with the Stollery Children's Hospital's Neurosurgery Fund's Camp Everest for the past 4 years. Within this camp, I assisted with the facilitation of activities for children who have sustained brain injuries and/or surgery. Other duties including feeding, dressing and caring for the overall well-being of each child. This opportunity has significantly shaped who I am as both a caregiver, and an individual. I am an energetic, creative and organized caregiver, always bringing crafts, activities and an enthusiastic attitude to every shift.
