I believe in unschooling- that is children learn what they are interested in. I combine this theory with the forest as our classroom. We go on adventures and I show my interest in what I see and as the children's interests emerge, I mentor them to learn what they can about this topic. It could be trees, insects, lichen, wildlife, bird language, mushrooms, or animal tracks. Forest school is where it's at.
