My name is Lauren and I am a teacher from Australia. I have recently relocated to Alberta to fulfil a farming job opportunity for my partner and am now seeking employment for myself. I completed a Bachelor of Primary and Secondary Education at La Trobe University in 2016. In Australia, I am qualified to teach all year levels inclusive of what transfers to Elementary, Middle and High School in Canada. I completed my degree with a Major in Student Wellbeing and a Minor in Health Education. This enabled practicum experiences in social work settings, special education and schools for disengaged youth, as well as mainstream schools. Since graduating, I have been working as a Grade 4 teacher. I was offered this employment following extensive substitute teaching in the area which provided great experience for me as a teacher. I went into the field of teaching to fulfil my passion for working with and helping children. I have babysat for family members but this would be my first experience as a nanny; however, I believe I am highly capable of the position.
