Dear Family, I’ll start with introducing myself! My name is Larissa, and I grew up on Vancouver Island. From the time I was a child, I was always the person who drew towards children and infants. I loved making sure they were happy and seeing them smile and learn! Then when I was eight years old my baby brother Jeffery was born. I was always willing and eager to help with anything my parents needed assistance with. From supervising him while they were cooking, to even helping changing his diapers! I have completed a 10 month ECE Certification program. The biggest things that stood out to me were how important it is to have things open-ended. When children get to focus on the process rather than the product it stimulates them creatively and cognitively because everything is in their hands! As a nanny I would like to focus on communicating with the family, and doing my best to foster the child/children’s development in many different ways.
