My name is Keira, I am 18 years old. I graduated from Lindsay Thurber High School in Red Deer. I am in my gap year between high school and college right now. January of 2021, I will be attending Red Deer College for the Social Work Program. Being out of high school, I am trying to make as much money as I can but also gain more experience for my future career, and not to mention I love kids and have years of experience! I started babysitting when I was 12. My first babysitting job was with a family who had a 6 month old and a 2 year old, after that I started gaining more and more babysitting jobs until now. In 2018 I worked as the co coordinator at a summer day camp for kids from ages 4 to 12. There were about 20 kids between myself and one other. We prepared lunch for them, organized field trips and dealt with various conflicts. I have volunteered at two elementary schools in Red Deer as well! I helped the kids with reading, writing and other classroom work. I also spent time exercising speech and manners with a couple kids with autism. I've always loved kids and have always had a passion for all people in general which is why I’m choosing the career I am. And this is why I feel I’d be a great fit for this job as well.
