Hi, I’m Kayla! I’m currently a 4th year psychology student at Carleton University & after university I aim to go to teachers college. Prior to Covid I worked as a part time nanny for a family I found on Care.com. My duties consisted of supervision, meal prep, & activity planning for a 3 year old. I also worked as a Children's Party Host at Chiquicuts where I performed salon services for birthday parties, ran various party activities and supervised the children. I have worked as a counsellor at 2 summer camps; City of Cambridge day camp & Hockey Opportunity Camp which is overnight. Within these positions I was responsible for not only the supervision of children, but also program planning, leading various activities & swim supervision. I also spent 2 years volunteering at children's camps before I was employed. I am certified in the High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development & I also have my first aid & CPR-C certifications. I was a fully certified lifeguard up until this past January but chose not to go through with the recertification process at the time due to the pandemic.
