Hello! My name is Katya, I am 19 years old, and I have been a certified babysitter since 2012! Currently, I am a student at Ryerson University studying Nursing! Apart from babysitting for 7 years (I have worked contract as well as occasional babysitting jobs), I have spent most of my working years as a camp counsellor! I have worked at a dance summer camp for 2 years (this past summer I was the supervisor of the Before and After Camp Program), 2 one-week over night camps, and 1 one-week sports intensive camp, so I have a lot of experience keeping children engaged for hours on end! Working at these camps has helped to build upon my skill set in terms of prioritizing tasks, keeping organized, being patient and ensuring that a fun, safe, and engaging environment was created for every child. As a babysitter I have taken care of children ages 1-13, which included preparing meals, light housekeeping, keeping their play area organized and tidy, going through their nightly routine as well as helping out with homework. I am also able to change diapers, I love reading bedtime stories and I love a good game of tag or hide and seek!
