I have plenty of experience working with children of all ages. I was a soccer program instructor for the city of Markham, a sports camp counsellor for the city of Markham, volunteered as a teachers assistant for a kindergarten class, and have babysat for many families. I'd like to think that I am very mature for my age, and have the enthusiastic and outgoing personality needed for childcare. Due to my past work experiences, I have gained and improved on many skills such as patience, multitasking, responsibility, and optimistic. It is very important to be able to connect with the children that are under your care so that they feel comfortable and are able to respect you while having fun! I am in my fourth year of studying therapeutic recreation at the University of Waterloo, and I learn about the importance of leisure activity for people of all ages. With all of the child care experience that I have, I am well aware of the time, energy, love and care that is required for this job opportunity.
