I have spent 5 years working at Evans Lake Forest Education Society in Squamish BC, a sleep away camp, working extensively with kids ages 8 to 16. I have worked directly supervising children as a cabin leader, responsible for heath, safety, and happiness for 10 kids at a time, as well as an instructor, where I was more responsible for the education side of things. The education I was responsible was from teaching environmental education and outdoor skills, to discussing bullying with children, as well as training new staff how to best deal with every day situations such as homesickness, or conflict between multiple children. I am also a trained lifeguard with first aid.
