I am 23 years old and currently work for X Movement in Toronto facilitating wellness programs in elementary schools in the GTA. Our programs focus on social-emotional learning through physical activity with emphasis on self-regulation, celebrating diversity, growth mindset and conflict resolution. Earlier this year I worked on a ranch in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta assisting with horse camps for girls aged 12-17. I gained considerable childcare experience from a gap year placement working overseas in England in a boarding house caring for 18 ten year old boys. I am the eldest of 10 cousins and have been looking after babies and young children since I was 12 as well as doing various babysitting jobs for local families over the years. I have completed a significant amount of community service working in after school care in Australia. I also coached a young netball team for 2 years between the ages of 16 and 17. I feel confident working with children of all ages and have a substantial amount of flexibility regarding the hours I would be willing to work. I am available on weekends and most evenings for casual babysitting.
