I have many years experience in caring for children. I started babysitting when I was 15 years old and the age range that I have experience caring for is 6 months old - 12 years old. I have done overnight babysitting in the child's home many times. Some of the children that I have cared for have had a diagnosed disability such as: Asperger's Syndrome, diabetes and speech difficulties. While in my care, I have been responsible for making the children food, helping with homework, preparing lunch for school the next day and getting the children ready and into bed. I also hold a certificate in school and community support worker from Vancouver Island University which has provided me with the skills to care for children with varying disabilities. I currently have a once a week commitment babysitting a 5 year old and 3 month old.
