My name is Holly and I am a masters student at Lakehead University. I am passionate about working with children and love providing them with an upbeat and fun experience. I have had extensive experience working with children through coaching as part of Lappw Nordic, Big Thunder Nordic, the Avalon Nordic Ski Club in St. John's, Newfoundland for 4 years, as part of the Foothills Nordic club in Calgary for 2 years and SoGo Adventure Running for 1 year, where I led activities to children aged 4-18. I also have experience through being a Trex Leader in Girl Guides of Canada where I volunteered with a group of girls in Junior High and High school. Additionally, in Finland I was a leader for 6-10 year olds. All of these opportunities involved teaching children between the ages of 4 and 18 to enjoy the outdoors and be confident leaders. I believe this experience would be prevalent to the position as I know how to interact with children and understand how to ensure these experiences are worthwhile for the children. From this experience, I want to create a fun, positive and exciting learning environment that involves time outdoors enjoying what the world has to offer I look forward to hearing from you.
