I am currently working in Banff on a working holiday visa, born in the UK. I was 12 when my sister was born and 15 when my brother was born. I often helped to look after, babysit, drive around and cook for them whilst I was still living at home and when I came back from university I would look after them for whole weekends to give my parents a little holiday, organising activities like the cinema and art days. I also worked 2 full summers in America at a summer camp, looking after children aged from 6-16 years. In my first year I organised activities in screen printing over a period of 4 days with every age group helping them to make T-shirt’s. In my second year I was a general counselor, looking after, guiding and helping a specific group of girls in their daily activities and schedules. I worked as a ski and snowboard instructor at Big White over the 2019/20 season where I looked after groups of children aged 3-4, 5-7 and 8-12 where safety + fun = more fun was our motto. I am looking to start a career in early childhood development and am looking for opportunities to gain some more experience working with children.
