Hello! I am a Child and Your Care student in my second year and have a lot of experience with children ages newborn to young teens. I completed high school online which aloud me to work part time for two separate families on short term basis. One family had an 11 month old boy and the other had twin 1 year olds, a 3 year old and 4 year old. A little bit after finishing high school I found full time employment as a nanny with a family who had a 1 year old boy. I absolutely loved it and was with them for 8 months before having to say goodbye because I was offered the opportunity to volunteer overseas, teaching in a school in Kenya. When I returned from Kenya I went back to the family I was with before leaving. They welcomed there second baby and I helped with the newborn. I was then with a family for a year who had two boys ages 4 and 6, one who had a physical disability. Since then I have been doing Child and Youth Studies online. I have also worked in the Ottawa School Board Care Program. Working at summer camps with ages 2 to 6. As well as lots of volunteer work in my church with ages 10-18.
