Hello there! My name is Gillian, I am in my final semester of teacher's college! I have a passion for working with children and have experience in a variety of childcare and educational settings. I have had the opportunity to work as a childcare provider, camp counsellor, forest school instructor, tutor, interpreter and have had a vairety of teaching placements. In my past role as a teacher at a museum, I instructed grades 2, 3 and 10 as well as interpreted to the general public. My camp counsellor and interpreter positions have given me experience with children 3-14 years of age. Specifically, I have had positions in general day camp, arts and crafts camp, kinder camp, volunteered at a chefs camp and an outdoor camp. In my Outdoor Education roles, I delivered various outdoor-based science curriculum's to K-8 and inspired inquiry-based learning opportunties. I enjoy engaging children in activities such as cooking, board games, crafts, water colour painting, backyard science discovery and homework help!
