Hello! My name is Emma and I am a Masters graduate who has been in Canada for 3 years. Prior to that I lived and worked as a full-time nanny in Brisbane, Australia for two wonderful boys aged 1 and 3 years. For the past 11 years, I have worked with children in an educational setting, including as a camp councillor in Brittany, France or volunteering as a Big Sister in NYC. I also have many years experience caring for children in a family setting, working full-time for 1 year as a nanny for a family of 3 children in London (aged 18 months, 4 & 7) and also 3 years as a summer au pair while studying for my bachelor's degree (in Canada, Italy and France). I have remained in contact with all of my host families and love going back to visit them. I speak English, French & Italian and am happy to incorporate language learning into any role I undertake. I understand the importance of being honest and communicative, and I truly enjoy spending time with children and appreciating what we can learn from them! Being a nanny has given me the vital knowledge and sense of humour that is needed to balance a vivacious household, while working abroad has made me responsible, mature, dependable and patient.
