Hi there, my name is Emily. I have worked with children in various aspects of care in the past 7 years. Working with children is a passion of mine. I take pride in assisting children's growth in physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. Below in a brief summary of my education and jobs (and duties) I have held working with children of various ages. I have a Bachelors of Education degree from the University of Alberta. Most recently I have been responsible for enabling the optimum physical, intellectual, emotional and social development of a 10-year-old boy who has Down Syndrome. For the last 7 years I have been a cheerleading coach, and have worked with athletes ages 3.5-17. Through this job I have been responsible for enabling the optimum development of children, according to their age, ability and aptitude. I also worked in a school setting as a teachers aid where I was responsible for discipline in the classroom, simplifying lesson plans in line with the curriculum, and helping students prepare for examinations. Ensuring that all students fully comprehend all aspects of the curriculum.
