I have a degree in Child and Youth Studies, as well as an extension diploma of Children's Mental Health. I focus mainly on optimal health: specifically with self esteem, emotional intelligence, and positive self talk. However, a lot of mental health stems from physical health, and thus physical activity and proper nutrition are key as well. I previously lived in Calgary, AB before moving to the Waterloo Region, and finally settling down in the beautiful town of Acton. I believe in: having a caring environment, learning through play, healthy meals, routine weeks, and exposure to community settings (libraries, early year's centres, learning programs etc). I am looking to care for children in my home (or yours) who attend MSB school. I have one daughter who is six, and I'm looking for families who are interested in helping their children succeed, grow, and love life. I am walking distance to MSB. I utilize programs in the community and have taken children to swim lessons, gymnastics, kindergarten readiness programs, splash pads, library programs, and more all within my home daycare (of course depending on age.)
