Hello, my name is Carley, I am 26 years old. I’ve just recently graduated from a 3 year program at Durham College and am now a certified Child and Youth Care worker. I was previously working for the YMCA and providing childcare as well as teaching for preschool aged children. Some strengths that I have include; ability to work with special needs children, ability to manage behavioural issues, able to build good relationships with the children I work with as well as their families, allowing children to lead activities in order to build confidence, ability to create activities that stimulate different areas of a child’s life such as mathematics/language/physical activity/social skills. I enjoy hobbies such as crafting, cooking, sewing, spending time with my loved ones, and going for walks. I enjoy being outdoors in all weather and I believe that it’s important for children to spend time in nature!
