My name is Brooklyn and I am 28 years old! For the past 8 years I have cared for children between ages of 0-6. I am passionate about engaging with children in a way that is loving, and educational. I love planning play-based activities like finger painting, nature walks, and sensory bins. I started babysitting when I was 12 years old, and I continued to up until high school. I worked as a mother’s helper in which I assisted with childcare and housework duties for families with newborns. I was then offered a temporary nanny position for a couple of sweet little boys, ages 2 and 5. For the next year and a half, I nannied for a wonderful family with 3 vibrant girls— starting when their twins were 1 year old and their oldest daughter was 3.5 years old. Throughout my career, I have worked in several daycare centres as an early childhood assistant. My time was spent in toddler and preschool programs. I worked as a live- in summer nanny for a family with 3 kids— ages 3, 6, and 8 at their Muskoka cottage. Most recently, I have been a live- in nanny for a busy family with 3 kids— ages 2, 4 and 6. I have been with them for over a year but I am leaving in order to return to school part time.
