Here is some of my previous work experience: I was a Nanny for a year with two young children with autism, I worked full time with the family and adapted quickly. I then worked during the school year as a Nanny to two children while balancing school. All the experience I have obtained over the past few years has broadened my knowledge immensely. I love children so much and getting the chance to help them and witness them grow and achieve is amazing and is what inspired me to go into my program in university. I am currently working with a 13 year old with severe autism once a week and helping her with her social skills. When I worked at a store my leadership skills and the ability to multi-task were recognized and I was promoted to supervisor very quickly. They then acknowledged that I was trustworthy and promoted me again to the cash office where I had to balance all transactions to occasionally open or close the store. This experience provided with very important life skills that I continue to excel with at University today.
