I am a graduate from the Early Childhood Education Program, Fanshawe College. I am currently employed as a full time nanny, and I am an author of the book Finding Strength Through Tragedy. Completing my education is my direct experience in family support, advocacy, crisis intervention, group facilitation, curriculum design and implementation. changes. I work closely with parents providing their children’s developmental growth. This includes the use of written observations progress reports, and upon requests. As a member of the Volunteer Staffing team at Ronald McDonald House, I have gained experience in working within a Family Focused Collaborative model of care involving medical staff, counsellors, volunteers, students, and support staff. This organization has given me a deeper understanding of issues faced by families- those with a sick child, impacted by disruptions in family life, struggling with issues of mental health. On a personal note, I am a highly organized, compassionate individual. I have planned and coordinated fundraising events, volunteer extensively in the community and am comfortable and confident working with children and families.
