Where do I begin? Working with children is an aspiration. I am a mature student studying Sociology and Creative writing through online open university. I hope to gain enough experience to begin my career working in child and youth sociology research within social support and education. In the last two years, I worked in China, teaching English as a foreign language and came back to the UK in March due to the pandemic. During my time in China, aside from working as a kindergarten teacher, I also was a live-in tutor and nanny for a young Chinese girl whom I taught and spoke to in English. I have relevant teaching and nannying diploma's as well as extensive experience. Before this, I worked as a GCP auditor for a clinical trials company specialising in neuroscience and gained degree equivalent professional experience in clinical trials. Currently, and since returning to the UK, I am now writing children's stories for children who live in China and are learning English; however, this is a freelance position and is temporary. Aside from this, I came from a family of seven and have grown up surrounded by children my entire life. Since I am a dual Canadian citizen, I wish to go to Canada during the ski season of November to April.
