My name is Alyssa and I am 24 years old! I graduated from SFU with a psychology major and counseling and human development minor in 2021. During my degree I worked for the Burnaby Neighborhood House providing after school care to children from gr. 1 to gr. 5. I was also part of a Big Sister Program for 3 years. Between 2020 and 2022 I worked with many families as a babysitter before starting my full time work as a support worker at a transition house for women and children fleeing domestic violence. At the transition house I work closely with many families and kids of all ages. I work Monday - Thursday and have babysitting availability Friday - Sunday and occasional work night evenings. I love kids and have lots of energy which is helpful in keeping up with them! I’m used to working with groups of 10-15 children so I am prepared for anything! I have my first aid certificate and have extensive knowledge on early childhood development thanks to my schooling. I have first hand experience with taking care of cats. I have a 13 year old Tabby cat who is just like Garfield and I am very comfortable around other cats. I look forward to hearing from you!
