April 2022, I will have completed my Social Work Diploma program, which I attained from MacEwan University. After I receive my social work diploma, I will go on to; finish my BSW and then receive MSW. Along with having years of babysitting experience, my last year's practicum for my social work program was under the Edmonton Public School Board. I worked at a K-9 school as a mental health counsellor, where I helped to; improve the well-being of each child by supporting their mental health needs. Some of the values and ethics that I hold near and stress to employ, not only in my work but in my everyday life, are compassion, empathy, respect, transparency, humility and integrity. I not only have the experience, but I also have a degree that has trained me to identify the needs of a child and work within their means and the family's means. I work from a place of compassion, empathy and awareness, and any work that I do operates from dedication and passion. Ensuring the safety and needs of a child is a right a child has at the end of the day. A child's well-being fuels my cause to action and is at the forefront of my decisions which; is reflected and attributed to the diligence and patience I employ in my work.
