Hi, my name is Alex. I’m a mother of two kids (ages 5 and 7) who has been a SAHM for the last 4 years. My husband is a veterinarian in the area and I’m looking for a part time position while my kids are at school (more details below, but can be available outside of school hours). I’m very passionate about the 4th trimester and postpartum period and believe in “it takes a village” so ideally I’d like to find a family that needs some extra hands with a new baby. Some people find the newborn stage one of the hardest, for good reason, but I absolutely love providing for and taking care of a new human. I can do some light housework (dishes, laundry) and have experience with baby wearing, cloth diapering, bottle feeding, to name a few. I also have baking experience, if you want to stock your freezer with home-made baked goods. Hoping to find someone in the Barrhaven area; I could have a car, but hoping to be able to walk or take the bus. Looking for multiple days per week. Could be available weekends and/or late nights periodically, scheduled in advance. I’m also open to having your child with me at my house, if you’re looking for in-home childcare.
