Caring, calm and dedicated.

I am a recent graduate of University of Prince Edward Island with a Bachelor of Education, Primary/Elementary cohort. I presently work as a substitute teacher and previously worked as a student teacher in grade 2, and as a student teacher in a class for children with behaviour issues in grades 3-6, while also spending some time in a regular grade 1 and grade 3 classroom. I have also worked as a student supervisor at two separate elementary schools monitoring children from K-6 in both the schoolyard and the classroom.
I love children which is why I chose to pursue a career in education at this stage of my life. I believe my education and experience gives me the skills necessary to care for children, especially younger children. I am also certified in emergency first aid. I am calm, and relaxed around children, as well as being patient and understanding of their needs, wants and emotional well being.
I am currently seeking work as a caregiver for the summer, but am available for babysitting and general childcare outside of school hours, and on weekends. References available and can be provided upon request.
