| Hi there! I'm Grace, I am completing my final year of a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design at Humber College with a love for all things creative. I spend my free time with my baby sister, doing crafts, or enjoying the outdoors! In terms of experience, I am fortunate to have learned about childcare in many ways. I am a proud big sister, big cousin, and aunt. Formally, I have been a nanny, a TEFL-certified English teacher, a swim instructor/lifeguard for ages 3m - 16 years, a daycare volunteer, an overnight camp counsellor, a children's mental health receptionist, and have been in many leadership programs. I have experience with all age groups, and I can confidently say that I will excel in giving your child the care they need! As a caretaker, it is vital to create a safe space where children can feel supported to grow and learn in their own way I believe it is essential that I am able to adapt to that to provide exceptional care. In addition to the qualities already mentioned, some important qualities that I think you should know about me are that I am energetic, attentive, dependable, and a great communicator. | I am a mother to three kids 22-28 years old and recently moved back to Toronto from Scotland. Being a self-employed complimentary therapist. I work Tues and Thurs 10-2 but otherwise flexible with hours (which is why I have ticked all the 'available' boxes) I am happy to do an overnight occasionally, if required or even a weekend/short break, if parents need to get away. I know what it's like to be unable to spend time as a couple. I am not interested in working full-time or regular days as I travel/teach. I was a paediatric nurse for 20+ years, before changing careers several years ago to work with both adults and children. I was a nanny in Toronto for four kids from ####-#### and I am still good friends with my former employer who is happy to provide me with both professional and personal references. I was a cub-scout and Brownie-guide leader for many years until my own children arrived and therefore well-practiced at keeping children safe and amused. I do miss working with tiny humans, babies especially and I am caring, responsible support for them and their parents alike. My own kids all still talk to me so they are perhaps my greatest reference when it comes to my experience in childcare.
