Compassionate and fun nanny looking for children to care for and entertain!
|
I have worked two summers as a camp counselor with Camp Douwanna, an overnight camp for children with Diabetes that runs for 1 week every summer. Myself and another counselor would care for a group of children in 1 cabin amongst maybe 6 others with other camp counselors. We were in charge of helping the children with their diabetes care at all hours including throughout the night, sometimes having to do 3am blood sugar checks. I worked with 4-8 year old boys one summer and 11-14 year old girls the next. The only reason I have not continued to do the camp is because of my studies and now the lockdown.
My experience with babies 12 months and under is with my niece and nephew who are twins. They are 10 months old and I have taken care of them since they were newborns to help out my sister. I have experience in changing diapers, feeding bottles and baby food (both soft and "real food"), bathing, dressing, putting babies to bed/getting them to feel sleepy, and entertaining babies with silliness and books or toys. I love to read to children!
