Caring, attentive, and patient care giver

Throughout my childhood I always had a great deal of noise and chaos around me. This was due to growing up with 4 siblings. As the youngest child I was lucky enough to really experience responsibility when my younger brother Dane was born with mental and physical disabilities. Not only did he teach me the importance of patience and unconditional love but he taught me that every child is different, every child learns at different speeds, and every child has the potential to do amazing things. Helping my parents out with my younger brother has been an integral part of my life. Caring for him consists of feeding, bathing, changing, dressing, moving to and from wheelchair, and assuring his comfort by paying close attention to the clues and signals that he gives. Growing up in this environment provided me with a passion for working with children and I started babysitting at 13 taking care of children of various ages including infants. Now that I am older my passion for working with kids has grown and I am excited for the opportunity to work in an environment where I can help provide the same safe and nourishing childhood that parents offer their children.
