Babysitting and respite care: looking for short term work
|
Hello! My name is Emily, and I'm a mature university student majoring in social work and psychology. I'm seeking opportunities as a babysitter or respite worker, particularly for short-term positions as I'll be away for the summer, either in May or June. Whether you need temporary help or your current sitter/respite worker is unavailable due to illness or vacation, I'm here to assist.
Additionally, I have experience working with individuals with diverse needs, notably as a companion for a client with cerebral palsy. I've also served as a youth worker for several years, leading groups that included neurodivergent teenagers, primarily those with ASD. Furthermore, I've enjoyed assisting and tutoring students with special needs in classroom settings.
My personality is both fun and calm, and I prioritize providing top-notch care to every client. I approach my work with patience, gentleness, and attentiveness to individual needs. My academic background, along with my past experiences and life lessons, has equipped me with a solid understanding of the varied needs of children, whether they require babysitting, support for neurodivergent conditions, or are in foster care.
