As the only daughter of a busy single-mom in a family of four, childcare came naturally. I began babysitting for local families by the age of 12.
By 14, I earned my first full-time childcare position for the summer. I picked up several jobs like this throughout my teens.
In early adulthood, my mom remarried and had two more daughters and I became the on call day care provider.
I took Human Services in College where I participated in a co-op with the Salvation Army Respite Care, caring for youth and adults with special needs.
After finishing my education, I worked odd jobs in several fields. I’ve committed my 20s to living fully and learning across a broad spectrum. By acquiring an eclectic variety of skills and interests, I enabled myself to live by my own accord. I converted my SUV into a livable camper which became my home on wheels for over a year, travelling solo and living simply. In that time, I built myself a tiny house and encouraged my young sisters to help with the process, come along for adventures, and learn along the way.
Currently, I have left my home province to set roots in the woods in New Brunswick. I am seeking a childcare position to utilize the skills I've acquired throughout my life.
